Road project forges ahead while essentials still under the axe

While budgets are being threatened with severe impacts of legislative action which will result in the education of our children being compromised, poor people having to choose between food and rent(combined with cuts in services=more homelessness), to name a couple of examples, our legislature just signed a contract for 1.1 billion dollards for road improvements from Salt Lake to Provo.

Where is the logic in that?  Yes, this was authorized by Utah’s legislators in the last session, however that could have been postponed until the budget shortfall was resolved.

Was the decision to fund this project perhaps influenced by graft?
